Kavita Rajput
“Great art picks up where nature ends.” (Mark Chagall)
Kavita Rajput, one of the significant Artists, begins and ends with Mother Nature’s majesty and its sublime power. Nature remains her constant companion, muse and inexhaustible fountainhead of inspiration. However, the resplendent moods of nature that appears in her canvasses are no on the spot representation of scenic location. “The object of art is not to reproduce reality, but to create a reality of the same intensity.”
Again to think that Kavita captures only beauty in her radiant works would be erroneous, joy, melancholy, silence, pain, spirituality, endless travel her canvasses speak in several languages and the viewer is left free to take home what he wants. The freedom that she allows herself while painting, she also grants those spell bound by her creations while are often referred to by fellow artists as “visual pleasure.”
Art, she observes, is not merely an intellectual exercise. So, she is piqued by artists offering notes on their concepts thus steering viewers in a particular direction.
Kavita Rajput is a native of Rajasthan (born in Delhi) and carries Rajasthan everywhere in her creations. Trained in art and under Guru Shri Badri Narayan Ji and possessing in addition a Master’s degree in Art and Drawing, she commenced painting landscapes from a very early age, delighting in uniqueness of everything she saw in nature.
Synthesizing ideas, experiences and understanding in her work, Kavita is forever fascinated with new places whose trees, skies and land appear to her previously unknown colours. Her works have the capacity of guiding viewers to hidden truths and treasures and secret realms and her oeuvre is expanded immeasurably by her propensity to employ different mediums to express a variety of emotions and sentiments.
“The earth has music for those who will listen.” (George Santayana)
Kavita always feels the music earth creates and music of ruin, man creates for earth. She always paints the canvas with the positive thoughts that the buyer when bring home that artwork feels the same. She always feel that viewing nature is pleasure to viewer and improves his vision for nature and human behaviour.
Since 1998, Kavita Rajput has put up solo exhibitions and group exhibitions of her artworks at India and abroad. Her 44 exhibitions constantly improve her work, her style of work and love for nature. Art for her is a joyful expression in sync with her own latent energies. “Everything in life is a vibration,” sums up her works and her art continues to resonate with varying frequencies of nature. Brimming with positivity both as a person and as an artist.
